Plays: Legacy (Williamstown); Cradle and All (Manhattan Theatre Club, etc); The Retributionists (Playwrights Horizons); Modern Orthodox (Dodger Stages- directed by James Lapine, world premiere at Long Wharf, etc); Sarah, Sarah (Manhattan Theatre Club, etc); Adam Baum And The Jew Movie (Blue Light, Canadian Stage, LA- directed by Paul Mazursky, etc) (Oppenheimer Award, Canadian Authors Association Award, Hull-Warriner Award Finalist). Musicals:  Piece of My Heart (Signature Theatre, NYS&F); Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me (Broadway, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto); Radio Girl (Goodspeed); Party Come Here (Williamstown, NYMF). Daniel’s plays and musicals have been developed at theatres across the country including NAMT, Cape Cod Theatre Project, Sundance, U-Cross, SCR’s Pacific Playwrights Festival and the Public’s New Works Now Festival. He’s received grants from AT&T Onstage, The Nash Foundation, Lincoln Center’s Lecomte du Nouy Foundation, The Jerome Foundation, and the NEA, among others. His plays are published by DPS. Currently, he is working on a commission for MTC, as well as musicals for Warner Brothers and Universal. For television, Daniel is currently a writer/co-producer on season two of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and is developing a pilot for Lifetime. Previous TV includes F/X’s Tyrant, DirecTV’s Rogue, CBC’s Four in the Morning, and PBS’s The Electric Company.  Daniel is a graduate of Juilliard and NYU’s Department of Dramatic Writing at Tisch (BFA, MFA), where he is an Assistant Arts Professor and was Area Head of Playwriting from 2013-2017.
