Les Abromovitz's five-minute Covid-19 play was included in a book of short plays that was published by Smith & Kraus in July, 2021. Les is the author of THE HOME STRETCH, which won first place in the 4th Annual International Jewish Short Play Competition and has been performed in venues across the country. In May 2015, Les’ play, SEVEN BANANAS, won first place in the Little Theatre of Alexandria's National One-Act Playwriting competition. SEVEN BANANAS was one of five finalists in the 30 by Ninety One Act Play Competition.

His play, SHUSH!, was performed six times in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in December, 2021. In July 2022, the Adobe Theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico, performed his radio play, A PROSTATE’S PURPOSE. His short comedy, THERAPY DOG, was among the winners of the Central Pennsylvania Theatre & Dance Fest festival in June, 2018. It was included in the North Park Playwright in October, 2018, and was one of the winners in the 2018 Rockport New Year’s Eve Festival. It was performed on several occasions at two venues in South Florida in April, 2019 and in February, 2020. His comedy, SHORT-STAFFED AT CHRISTMAS, was performed in Bonita Springs, Florida, in December, 2022.

His short play, MY EYES ARE UP HERE, was included in the City Theatre of Independence Playwright Festival in August, 2018. His comedy, A LESS THAN SERIOUS ROMANCE, was staged by the Pend Oreille Players in July, 2018, and performed on Zoom in May, 2020, by Crafton Hills College. The college performed two of his short plays in May, 2021, and July, 2022.

His comedy, THE NOT QUITE DEAD YET ESTATE SALE, was read in October, 2018, by the Players Follies in Sarasota, Florida, and was performed in 2019 by the Allegan Community Players in Allegan, Michigan. His play, DATE NIGHT IN ROISSY, was performed by the Carrollwood Players in June, 2019, and the South Street Players in October, 2019. It was performed in Northport, Long Island, in October, 2022.

His short play, BEST PLANETS TO RETIRE ON, was produced as part of the Shortcuts 6 Festival in South Florida and was included in the Playwrights Cage Match at the Douglas Morrisson Theatre. His comedy, BETTER WITH, BETTER WITHOUT, was included in the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2016. His short comedy, TUCKED IN PANAMA, was performed at the Gulfport Community Players festival in July, 2017. It was included in the Stage Left Theater’s festival in November, 2017, in Spokane, Washington.

His comedy, BOCA RATON ON ICE, was produced by a number of theatre companies and has been performed as a radio play on several occasions. In addition, his short comedy, QUOTH THE MAVEN, NEVERMORE, has been included in a few festivals.  Several years ago, his play, REUNION ON CRAIGSLIST, was named as the audience’s favorite in the Florida Laboratory Theater’s 24-hour playwriting competition.

Les has been the author, co-author, technical editor, and ghostwriter of numerous business books that were published by John Wiley & Sons, McGraw-Hill, Dearborn Trade, ALM Media, and other major publishers. And last but certainly least, he is an attorney.

He and his wife split their time between Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Boca Raton, Florida.
