The Season in Review Issue 2022-2023
No. 6
Vol. 25
Aug/Sep 2023

Welcome to the Season in Review! It can take years before a new work takes flight, which is why we’ve dedicated this seasonal edition honoring the long migration from page to stage. This issue is the combined effort of the DG flock across the country and your self-reported new work to the Dramatists Diary from May 1, 2022, through April 30, 2023.

While we congratulate everyone who completed a song, first draft, rewrite, staged reading, and/or workshop, we do not have the space to list them all. Rather, this edition (which is not comprehensive) offers a bird’s eye view of the fully produced world premieres from last season.

THE DRAMATIST is the official journal of the Dramatists Guild of America, the professional organization of playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists. It is made possible by funding from the Council of the Dramatists Guild of America, a generous gift from the JOHN LOGAN FOUNDATION through a grant from the Dramatists Guild Foundation, and contributions from Guild members LIKE YOU.
